If you have ever wondered how the USA might change in the post-9/11 era, have a read of the news of a German national and her American fiancee. (Read News.) I feel a bit of sympathy for her and her fiancee. This is not what GW Bush is talking about when he said the US plans on securing its borders. Unless, the Immigration Officers have misinterpreted their new mandates. Is it any wonder why Europeans are beginning to hate the USA??

I hope the US government addresses the complaints of this couple and does everything in its power to rectify any misunderstandings that Immigration officers have about their jobs. If these incidents continue to occur, I fear that many will give up on the USA and no longer do business there or travel there in the future.

The USA does not need to become XENOPHOBIC in this decade. I believe the US has ever right to protect itself from enemies who wish to do them harm. However, the US needs to find a reasonable solution on how it projects itself to foreign (legitimate) travellers.

I hope I am never put into the same situation as the German woman. I wonder how Immigration will treat Canadians now???

Well, all I can say is 'IT IS ABOUT TIME'! Thank the Lord there is still some sanity left in the world. How can any nation sit back and watch terrorists come and blow up its people? It is incredible how shitting some people at my office treat others. Doctor Malpractice

In another example of bad Japanese justice, a suicide victim's family get very little relief/compensation from the quacks at a cosmetic surgery. Read story here. I think the parents of the victim should hire some rather large thugs to beat the living shit out of the doctors at the Komuro Clinic. Hell, let's tell the family to give the award money to a bunch of young thugs who can extract equal revenge on the doctors. That's right: the young thugs can cut off the cocks of the doctors.

Nice Easter Break!

Oops. I forgot. We don't get an Easter break here in Tokyo. What a bummer. I did some blog surfing and found that many bloggers were taking a short vacation from their blogging chores. Woe is me. Nothing much interesting happened over here in Tokyo over the weekend. Nothing special unless you consider this big news or, perhaps, very strange news: the Defense Agency has been using private information of citizens obtained by the local governments for recruiting drives. I wonder if this constitutes a breach of privacy in Japan??? Of course, it should. Why the hell not!!!????!!! I guess the Defense Agency likes to peek into the lives of potential recruits before they approach them to join the peacekeeping forces. If the Defense Agency can weed out the 'delinquints, losers, preverts, convicts', isn't this a good thing that they can do pre-checks??

I wonder how this is going to play out in the media. I am sure by next weekend, the entire scandal will be forgotten by all. Apathy. Apathy. Apathy.

With all the problems in the world, we have the Oakland Raiders seeking an injunction against the other two teams from wearing similar playing jerseys when they play in California. Huh? Are the Raiders serious with their legal actions? We have an ongoing war in the Middle East. We have suicide bombers killing innocents. We have governments rounding up civilians and slaughtering them. We have record numbers of people getting their pink slips. So, what are the Raiders trying to prove?

With world pressure coming down upon China, they are about to get 'very serious' about their SARS problems (see related story). I hope it is not too late for the rest of the world. I would really like to begin travelling again.

Laci Peterson & Son

With the grace of God they go into that peaceful night.....

I was saddened at the news that the two bodies discovered are, in fact, those of Laci and her son see the story on CNN. How can anyone do such harm to another? How can any person hurt a child? A baby? I hope those responsible for these crimes are caught and hanged. No one should be allowed to walk where Laci and son no longer can.

If her husband is guilty of the crimes, I sure hope he rots in hell.

Some loser just got arrested for murdering a 22-month old baby. When asked why he killed the child his answer (you are not going to believe his excuse)..."the child was crying and it was bothering me".

Yes, even in Japan, we have fucking losers. I think the guy deserves to get his ass fucked by some big fat homo for the next 50 years. That might teach him to be a loser!!!

re: Japanese Strange Way of Capitalism

In the Nikkei news, they report that very few entrepreneurs can
restart another business after they fail. A study conducted by the
government believe the rate of restarting a business is around 10%. Very
sad and mad way of doing business. For a country that is apparently
very capitalistic, this low rate 'SUCKS'.

For entreprenuers in this country, failure usually means 'complete
financial ruin'. No one will or no bank will ever help them again.
Most failed business owners commit suicide. And why not??? You not
only lose your business, you also lose your home, your family, your only
way to make a living. Basically, you are 'FUCKED'!!
If we look at large business owners, what happens to them? They get
government hand outs. They get more bank loans. They get the royal
treatment. And why not? These large business owners funnel so much
money to the governing party. These deserve to be paid back in kind.

Whatever you think you know about Japanese business or about opening a
business in this country, forget about it. You lose, you die. It is
that simple. Unless you are running a fucking big compand.... you never
have to worry about losing your home while the LDP are in power.

SARS - Nine More Die

Nine more people died. This disease is not under control. No matter what the Chinese government says, it is out of control. The Canadian government is now being forced to rethink its policy of quarantining people. It appears that a small religious group/order has fallen ill to the virus. Apparently, some of the ill refused to go into quarantine and they passed the illness to others. This situation is going to get a whole lot worse before it gets better. I wonder how many people will die? How many businesses will go under? How many people will give up and just kill themselves?

Japan still thinks it is immune to the virus. The government and the health officials believe they have the entire situation under control. Yeah, right. Hard to believe. Each day the health officials parade themselves in front of the media and tell us how 'they are in control'. It is so frustrating trying to get a truthful word out of them. Actually, it is a waste of time.

SARS - Cathay Pacific Has No Plans to Ground Fleet

Okay, now what? Should we be worried? With the number of infected
people rising, what will the world do to stop the spread of SARS? Will
we be willing to quarantine an entire country? Will we be willing to
stop international commerce with a 'sick country'? How many sick people
within a country will it take before the international community makes a
decision to "ACT" in the interests of the entire global community?

I don't know what the answers are but I sure hope somebody somewhere is
thinking of answers. I am unsure whether the world is ready to make
those tough decisions but as the population of the world grows and grows,
there is going to come a time when nature begins to 'fight back' and
'level out' the number of people who inhabit this planet.

I have often wondered whether mass diseases or plagues are Mother
Earths's way of letting us know she is being pushed to her limits. How
many people are on this planet right now? 6,000,000,000? Or is much
higher now? What will happend if the population grows unabated to the
20,000,000,000 people mark? Can we survive? Is there enough food to
feed that many people? Is there enough potable water? Is there enough
land to grow food? What about crude oil for all those cars we are
building? When should we begin preparing for the worst?

Perhaps, by having Cathay Pacific not ground its fleet, it is doing the
work of Mother Nature. Maybe this is a good time for us to begin
discussing how to deal with a global crisis before it is too late.

A Name You Don't Want to Forget: Mamoru Ikeda

On June 8, 2001, Mamoru Takuma broke into Osaka Kyuiku University Ikeda Elementary School in Ikeda, Osaka Prefecture, and killed 8 people. Why does this man deserve our attention? Takuma's victims were children. When asked why he did it, he answered 'Lack of wit and fortune. I would not have committed such a crime if I had not lost my job.'.

Can you believe this lame fuck's excuse? He lost his job so he killed children. Most people who lose their job jump in front of an express train. End of story. End of suffering. But, this guy decides to take the lives of 8 others. There is no amount of justice that can punish this guy for his crimes. And it gets weirder. Asked another question by the presiding judge, Takuma responded 'I know I will get the death sentence given what I have done, but I do not intend to atone for my act (with my death).' Now, if there is a higher authority, I say let's send this guy to a maximum security prison where he can get his true punishment: years and years of being someone's playmate.

With people like this in Japan, I strongly believe that death for murderers should be slow and painful. How slow? About ten years. How painful? The guilty would pass out every five minutes from the amount of pain inflicted upon him.
